Today I came within 5 feet of a Muntjac Deer - don't know who was more surprised - him or me!
Our property backs onto forest and as I walked down our path with a plate full of vegetables and scraps to throw into the forest to feed the animals, there he was on the other side of the wire fence! We stood and stared at each other, not quite believing what we were seeing before he bounded away deep into the forest. I hope I didn't frighten him too much as I came past the shed and he came back for the veg feast I put down for him 🦌💕

1634399395I don’t think we ever stop missing them Dennette ❤️ I’ve been away down in England and my lovely dog sitters noticed my westie didn’t seem ‘herself’. She had a nasty abscess near her tail and they made two 70 mile round trips to the vet with her. Now have to take my other dog in on Monday for a scan to check how bad her heart murmur is before they risk operating to remove some teeth. As they’re 13 and 10 I feel like never leaving them again for more than a night or two. My ‘soul mate’, my black labrador Bruno has been gone 10 years this year but not a day goes by when I don’t think of him. Ophelia was beautiful ❤️💔 xoxo
